WorldHockey Young Player of the Year Ashley Jackson gives

advice to any player wanting to be the best they can be....

Jackson, 22, who has been playing with the England squad since December 2006, shared some advice for up and coming young hockey players:

“Stick at it. Keep working hard because it’s about the hours you put in that

dictates how well you do.”

Jackson has been awarded the WorldHockey Young player of the year, which is momentous moment as it is "about being recognised for playing good hockey by team-mates and other players," said Jackson.

The purpose of the Hardcore Hockey website is to create a support system for players to learn about the game and know how to put in the hours on & off the pitch. To be the best you can be you need to develop all aspects of your performance, from the technical and tactical, through to the fitness, psychological and lifestyle factors. These are all separate cogs which need to be developed so you are able to reach your true potential.
