MEET THE TEAM

Anna Mycoe

Chef

Anna Mycoe first developed an interest in cooking when she started growing her own vegetables, over the years this has become a serious business for her. Now (outside of work as a contracts manager) Anna runs a small catering company aimed mainly at the private dinner party market and small events such as christenings.

Anna took her cooking interest one stage further in 2008 by entering Master Chef (yes she has been on the telly too!) in that year Anna reached the quarter finals and was subsequently invited to return on the 2009 series where she reached the same stage.

Anna's hockey experience is rather minimal (unless you count stealing her older sister's hockey boots and hiding them because she was mean to her) however she did spend a bit of time with her college hockey team and watched lots of matches so we can let her off!

Anna writes - ' I enjoy running and biking in the hills near where I live in Yorkshire, I know from experience that it can be difficult to find healthy nutritional recipes to follow when you are a competitive sports person.  I also realise that if you are no great shakes in the kitchen, some of the recipes can be quite daunting.  My part in this venture is simply to provide interesting and nutritional recipes for the site based upon my knowledge.'

Anna writes the 'Anna Cooks' series of articles for Hardcore Hockey and may be available to cater at hockey events, just contact us at info@hardcorehockey.co.uk to enquire.

"What I aim to do is give simple but tasty and healthy recipes that anyone can follow in the hope that you find eating healthily as much fun as you find playing hockey.   Trust me once you have tried my "healthy chips" you will be a convert!"
