Kathryn Moore is an experienced Physiotherapist, specialising in musculoskeletal assessment and treatment. A member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and registered with the Health Professionals Council (HPC), Kathryn is also a member of The Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) and Association Chartered Physiotherapists in Sport Medicine (ACPSM). |
As an applied practitioner Kathryn achieves an excellent blend of theory and practice coupled with an effortless rapport with the athletes she treats. As Physiotherapist for Bowdon Hockey Club, Kathryn has worked behind the scenes and at pitch-side within the highest levels of club hockey. Working with both male and female squads, including national indoor finals (she was on the telly!) and European hockey competitions, has provided extensive experience. As a player Kathryn began her career at Cheam Hockey club and represented Surrey County from U16 to Senior level. While studying, Kathryn played for Manchester Univeristy before moving to her current club, Didsbury Northern. Kathryn writes - 'players are beginning to realise the importance of other aspects of fitness such as flexibility and core stability, and how these may actually help to prevent injury. This site provides a wealth of information on all types of physical training which can assist in keeping you fit rather than injured!' |
"The Hardcore Hockey site is what many players have been waiting for, the team combine theory with practice to provide a fantastic resource." |
