Liam is the Hardcore Hockey resident geek!  Having studied Multimedia systems at John Moores University, Liam was enlisted to develop flash animated penalty corner videos for the site.

The experience inspired Liam so much he left work to return to University where he is currently studying Computer Science.  Liam is exploring new methods for presenting media via the internet and is working on future developments on the Hardcore Hockey site.  He is also interested in the development of 'cloud computing' - where users access software etc over the internet thereby negating the need for updates (we did say he was resident geek).

Liam currently competes in a variety of BUCS competitions and approaches all sport with a disproportionate level of competitiveness; he hasn't really played hockey since a brief stint in 'Mr Stafford's Year 7 XI' in 1996 (which left him with a fat lip) but can appreciate why we all love the game so much and now knows many penalty corner routines off by heart!

"Media formats including video, flash animation and interactive images are employed very effectively on Hardcore Hockey site.  These enrich the content and allow members to learn in different ways."
